  2. *The groups were created by counting each homozygous guanine allele at the Arg16Gly (c.46A > G) and Gln27Glu (c.79C > G) polymorphisms: (0) Arg16Arg + Gln27Gln genotype combination; (1) Gly16Gly or Glu27Glu genotype presence; (2) Gly16Gly + Glu27Glu genotype combination.
  3. The OR was calculated using the Open-Epi tool (http://www.openepi.com). The OR and 95% CI values were obtained using the Mild-P test. For all data analyzed, α = 0.05 was used. The significant p-values are in bold.
