DSM-5 Level 1 cross-cutting symptom measure outcomes reported by patients with HAE. Of the 13 psychiatric symptoms evaluated, more than half the participants reported experiencing the following psychiatric symptoms warranting further exploration: depression (n  =  15, 88.2%), anger concerning the disease (n  =  14, 82.4%), sleep disturbances (n  =  13, 76.5%), anxiety (n  =  13, 76.5%), mania (n  =  11, 64.7%), somatic symptoms (n  =  10, 58.8%) and impaired personality functioning (n  =  9, 52.9%)
