SCIT was the primary modality prescribed throughout the study period; however, there was a statistically significant increase in the proportion of patients treated with SLIT-tablets from 8 % in 2006/2007 to 29 % in 2011/2012 (p < 0.001, McNemar’s test). The proportion of patients prescribed SLIT-drops was marginal at 3–5 % of total prescribing each year
